Tweed Togs were delighted to be invited to participate in the inaugural Community Conversation about financial disadvantage in Peeblesshire. This event was hosted by the Peeblesshire Foodbank at their premises in Peebles and was attended by more than 25organisations, included Christine Grahame MSP, Tweeddale councillors, advice teams and several local charities. The discussion centred on tackling hunger and hardship, who it affects, how it manifests and what solutions there might be.
Susan Walker, trustee of Tweed Togs, commented “Having the opportunity to share goals and be part of a network to signpost facilities to relieve poverty and disadvantage is a win-win for the Tweeddale community.”
